Very Good

So, I got this the other day.
Author Ray Peterson took private lessons with Jaco, and his enthusiasm and respect for the master are infectious.
The author does a good job of presenting the fundamentals (intervals, triads, etc.), and then providing Jaco song transcriptions with analysis. The slowed down tracks for those are invaluable.
The chapter called "Food for thought" near the end is wonderful. In it, Mr. Peterson speaks very eloquently and fondly about Jaco the human being. If you're a devoted Jaco fan, and this article doesn't move you, there's something wrong with you.
The only gripe is that it gets advertised as having Jaco lessons "in his own handwriting." This consists of only 2 badly photocopied pages at the end, with no explanation at all. That was disappointing. But, overall, it is a very good book that will take time to master.
